Project — Mississauga 3382
Quick Facts
- Location: Mississauga 3382
- Service: Bathroom Renovation
- Duration: ~3 weeks
- Scope: Design, materials, lighting, waterproofing, and final inspection.
The Vision: Modern, Bright, and Balanced
When the homeowners of Mississauga 3382 approached us, their request was simple yet inspiring:
“We want a bathroom that feels luxurious but not cold — something bright, stylish, and calming.”
Their old bathroom had dim lighting and small, dated tiles that absorbed light rather than reflected it. The goal was to introduce brightness through smart illumination and balanced contrasts, using a round LED vanity mirror as the centerpiece.
We envisioned a bathroom that combined deep, textured wall tiles with soft white porcelain, creating visual depth without sacrificing light. The LED mirror would act not only as a functional element but as an artistic focal point that illuminates the entire space evenly.
The final design turned this once-shadowy room into a luminous retreat — a perfect harmony between dark tones and brilliant light.
Design Highlights
- Round LED Vanity Mirror: A circular backlit LED mirror with dimmable control adds elegance, symmetry, and perfect task lighting.
- Wall Tiles: Deep gray stone-textured porcelain tiles add character and contrast, creating a luxurious spa-like feeling.
- Flooring: Matte porcelain floor with subtle veins for warmth and slip resistance.
- Lighting: Layered lighting design — LED ceiling spots, under-vanity lighting, and mirror glow — all in soft white tones.
- Glass: 10 mm frameless glass shower enclosure for a seamless, modern look.
- Vanity: Floating vanity with white quartz top, under-mounted sink, and brushed nickel fixtures.
- Ventilation: Quiet, energy-efficient exhaust fan with exterior ducting to maintain air quality.
- Waterproofing: Multi-layer cement board and membrane system compliant with Ontario waterproofing standards.
The Process — From Darkness to Light
Week 1 — Demolition & Planning
We started by stripping away the old fixtures, revealing the aged plumbing beneath. Once the outdated materials were removed, our team installed new electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring everything was ESA-certified and future-proof.
The clients selected a textured dark tile for the feature wall behind the vanity — a brave choice that would contrast beautifully with the bright lighting and mirror glow.
Week 2 — Waterproofing & Installation
Precision was key. Cement boards were laid, and every joint and corner was sealed with waterproof membranes.
Then came the tilework — 12×24 porcelain slabs, set with tight grout lines to create a continuous surface that bounces light evenly.
When the round LED mirror was installed, the entire wall transformed. Its halo glow reflected gently across the dark tiles, giving the room depth and radiance simultaneously.
Week 3 — Finishing Touches
We installed the frameless glass shower, adjusted lighting temperatures to 4000K (natural daylight tone), and mounted the floating vanity. The balance between the dark walls and the bright white countertop created a sophisticated visual rhythm.
By the time the last silicone bead was sealed, the transformation was complete — clean, modern, and distinctly Mississauga-inspired.
The Result — A Symphony of Light and Texture
Step into this bathroom, and you immediately notice how light defines the space.
The round LED mirror glows softly like the morning sun, and the textured dark wall behind it gives depth — grounding the brightness in warmth.
The frameless glass shower keeps the sightlines open, while the floating vanity appears to “hover” under its soft underlight. Together, they create an atmosphere that’s both elegant and comforting — like a boutique hotel suite, but right inside a Mississauga home.
This project exemplifies our approach to design:
Balance the contrast — light against dark, reflection against texture, and modern form against timeless comfort.
Design Takeaways for Homeowners
-
Use Contrast Thoughtfully
Pairing dark textured tiles with bright lighting creates sophistication without heaviness. -
LED Mirrors Do More Than Illuminate
Round LED mirrors add both ambient light and a sculptural element to your bathroom. -
Plan for Layered Lighting
Ceiling, mirror, and vanity lighting should work together to eliminate shadows. -
Frameless Glass = Open Space
A clear glass shower enclosure keeps the room visually expansive. -
Never Skimp on Waterproofing
Long-term reliability starts behind the tiles. Always demand certified waterproof systems. -
Opt for Natural Color Temperature (4000K)
It flatters skin tones and creates a welcoming, bright environment without harshness.

Care & Maintenance Tips
To preserve the brilliance of your bright, LED-lit bathroom:
- Wipe the LED mirror with a soft microfiber cloth — avoid ammonia cleaners.
- Use neutral-pH cleaners for tiles and quartz surfaces.
- Run the ventilation fan for at least 20 minutes after showers.
- Reseal grout and silicone once a year for maximum durability.
- Keep lighting fixtures dust-free to maintain brightness.
